Substack essay 3 is live!

This series has been moving slowly on purpose:
a longer arc on fear, from a nebulous nature to suspicion, to now, individualism as a tool of isolation, leading to, you guessed it: more fear.

I wrote this while juggling tak
For the past two years, my in-clinic work has largely focused on my not-so-new-anymore service, the Signature Feminist Facial.

I’ve worked on hundreds of faces now, and while the before and afters are definitely very fun and provide some dopam
I’ve been thinking a lot about fear lately. Obviously for this Substack series, but it’s been hard not to think about it in daily life, too. 

Fear is real, and when it becomes constant, it changes how we human. It changes our brains.

When I talk about patriarchy, I’m not thinking about it as a purely theoretical concept. I’ve watched it structure my life in real time:
How I grew up. 
How my family was (and is) shaped. 
How safety, worth, and legitimacy were (and are!)
